Home is Where... was a continuation of the Stories from the 'Loin project about houselessness in San Francisco. M.F.A. acting students from A.C.T. who had participated in the first project (and who were completing the Citizen Artist Certificate Program) took on additional leadership roles under my mentorship in this community-devised production. Similarly, community members who had participated in the first project returned as leaders and mentors in the group. This project was motivated by the Theatre of the Oppressed praxis of multiplication - the process of seeding expansion and leader-ful sustainability in community-based performance practice.
